How the ECG recorder is used
An electrocardiograph records the small voltages that the heart's electrical activity produces at the skin. Ten electrodes, four on the limbs and six across the chest, give the twelve standard views of the heart: limb leads I, II, III, aVR, aVL and aVF, and chest leads V1 to V6. This recorder acquires all twelve at the same moment and prints them on 3 or 6 channels.
Built-in analysis gives rhythm and event interpretation and pacemaker detection, while selectable filters remove baseline drift, mains interference and muscle artefact so the trace stays readable. Exams are held in internal storage and can be exported by USB or network for reporting.
