Atomic Model Manufacturer, Suppliers and Exporter in India
Lab Exports is leading Atomic Model Manufacturer, and supplier and Exporter in India Quick answer: Lab Exports is an atomic structure model kit manufacturer in India, based in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. The Atomic Model subcategory has 3 products built on Bohr's model: a student kit in a storage box, a demonstration kit on a 550 x 550 mm metal board, and a class set that combines one demonstration kit with 8 student kits.Atomic structure kits
All three products in the subcategory are listed here with details from their specification tables.
| Kit | House code | Key specification |
|---|---|---|
| Atomic Structure Kit, Student Version | EL-AM-10843 | 30 protons, 30 neutrons and 30 electrons; 8 electron shells, 4 on the lid and 4 on the underside of the box |
| Atomic Structure Kit, Demonstration Version | EL-AM-10844 | Two nuclei of 180 mm and 130 mm diameter; 20 each of protons, neutrons and electrons |
| Atomic Structure Kits, Demonstration and Class Set | EL-AM-10845 | 1 demonstration kit and 8 student kits, with a lesson plan and worksheet |
Teaching atomic structure with the kits
Each kit represents an atom the way Bohr's model describes it: protons and neutrons are placed together in the nucleus, and electrons are placed on circular shells around it. Students build an element by counting out its protons and electrons, then fill the shells in order to show its electron arrangement. Adding neutrons to the same nucleus shows an isotope, and adding or removing an electron turns the neutral atom into an ion.
The demonstration kit is sized for the front of the classroom. Its two nuclei let a teacher set up two atoms side by side, for example to compare two isotopes or two neighbouring elements, while students repeat the exercise with their own kits at the bench.
Specification examples
The Demonstration Version (EL-AM-10844) has two atomic nuclei of 180 mm and 130 mm diameter and eight electron shells, of which up to four can be used around each nucleus. It comes with 20 protons, 20 neutrons and 20 electrons, and one 550 x 550 mm metal storage board with two hanging holes.
The Student Version (EL-AM-10843) prints four electron shells on the lid and four on the underside of its box, holds 30 each of protons, neutrons and electrons, and stores every part inside the box.
Questions about atomic structure model kits
How do the student and demonstration kits differ?
The student kit is a compact box with its electron shells printed on the box itself. The demonstration kit uses large nuclei of 180 mm and 130 mm and a 550 x 550 mm metal board so the whole class can see it.
What does the class set contain?
The class set contains one demonstration kit and eight student kits, together with a lesson plan and a worksheet developed with science teachers.
Can the kits show isotopes and ions?
Yes. Because protons, neutrons and electrons are separate pieces, students can change the number of neutrons to show isotopes and the number of electrons to show ions.
