How the hydraulic bench is used
Most first courses in fluid mechanics need a steady, measurable water supply, and the hydraulic bench provides it in one self-contained unit. The centrifugal pump draws water from the sump tank and sends it through the flow control valve to the experiment placed on the top tray. The water then drains to the measuring tank and back to the sump, so the same water is used again and no mains water is needed during a practical.
