How it is used
At 15 mm high and 0.3 kg, the stirrer slides into a drawer, fits on a crowded bench or inside a fume cupboard, and can be carried to a titration stand where a bulkier unit would not fit. The magnetic drive under the 90 mm plate turns the stirrer bar in the vessel above it.
Automatic reverse rotation changes the direction of the bar at intervals, breaking up the steady vortex and improving the mixing of suspensions and thicker samples. The low end of the 15-1500 rpm range allows gentle stirring of delicate samples, while higher speeds dissolve solids quickly.
