How it is used
A bench meter stays on the practical table for a whole class, so it needs to be stable, easy to read and tolerant of splashes. This meter converts the voltage from a glass pH electrode into a pH value shown on a large 18 mm LCD, and its spill-proof front panel protects the electronics from drips during titrations and dilutions. The electrode plugs into a BNC socket, so a worn electrode can be replaced without changing the meter.

- Calibrate the meter with buffer solutions of known pH.
- Rinse the electrode with distilled water between solutions.
- Place the electrode in the sample, allow the reading to settle and record the pH to 0.01.
- After use, rinse the electrode and store it moist in its storage solution.
