How it is used
A VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) glows brightly with high contrast, so readings are easy to see from an angle or in a dim room. Full-range tare means any container, up to the full capacity of the balance, can be zeroed out before the sample is added.
Percentage weighing shows each sample as a percentage of a stored reference, which is useful for checking moisture loss or yield. Counting mode works out the number of identical parts from a small sample, and the built-in under hook lets items be suspended below the balance, for example in water when finding density with the optional density function.
