How the model is used in teaching
Most brain models show the organ on its own, which leaves students unsure how it sits in the skull. With this model the teacher can first show the intact head, then lift away the head sections to reveal the brain in the cranial cavity, and finally take the brain out and separate it into its two parts. The numbered cranial nerves can be followed from the underside of the brain, and the key card names each numbered structure.
The model supports lessons on the skull as a protective case for the brain, on the main regions of the brain, and on the twelve pairs of cranial nerves, in higher secondary biology, nursing and medical anatomy courses.
