Pink and purple pear-shaped lobes represent the two wave phases, positive and negative, of the p and d atomic orbitals, while the atomic nuclei are represented by opaque white spheres. Each model comes with its own individual transparent base for display. Approximate model heights, including base, are 5 cm for s-orbitals, 9 cm for p-orbitals and 8 cm for d-orbitals.
