Ohms Law Kit with Built-in Power Supply
Product Code : SCL-EAE-11099
Quick answer: The Ohm's law kit with built-in power supply is a student apparatus for verifying V = IR: learners change the voltage or resistance, record current and voltage readings and plot a V-I graph. Because the supply is built in, no separate power unit is needed for basic demonstrations. Lab Exports manufactures it in Delhi for schools, colleges and training laboratories.

How the Ohm's law experiment is done
Ohm's law states that the current through a metallic conductor is proportional to the potential difference across it, provided its temperature stays constant: V = IR. In the experiment the resistor under test is connected in series with an ammeter, a voltmeter is placed across it, and the voltage is raised step by step while both readings are noted.
- Place the kit on a dry, stable bench and check that the power switch is off.
- Connect the circuit as shown in the experiment diagram, with the ammeter in series and the voltmeter in parallel with the resistor.
- Switch on at the lowest setting and record the voltage and current.
- Increase the voltage in steps, recording each pair of readings, then switch off.
- Plot V against I; a straight line through the origin confirms Ohm's law, and its slope gives R.
Repeating the readings with a different resistance gives a line of different slope, which makes the meaning of resistance clear. Always switch off before changing connections and avoid short circuits.
Key features
- Built-in power supply, so basic Ohm's law work needs no separate external supply.
- Arranged for recording voltage and current readings and plotting V-I characteristics.
- Shows the proportional relationship between voltage and current in an ohmic conductor.
- Helps teach correct ammeter (series) and voltmeter (parallel) connection.
- Clear layout suited to a teacher demonstration followed by student practical work.
Documentation and supply
Installation instructions and a manual are supplied with the apparatus. Most Lab Exports products carry a one-year manufacturer warranty.
Lab Exports manufactures the Ohm's law kit at its works in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, and supplies it to schools, colleges and universities in India and 60+ countries, handling the export documents for each shipment. More about the company is on the About Lab Exports page.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Ohm's law kit need an external power supply?
No separate supply is needed for basic demonstrations, because the power supply is built into the kit.
Can students plot a V-I graph with this kit?
Yes. Students record voltage and current at several settings and plot V against I; a straight line through the origin shows ohmic behaviour.
What is the price of the Ohm's law kit?
Prices are not published on the website. Add the Ohm's law kit to the Enquiry Cart with the Add To Cart button on this page, or email [email protected] with the house code SCL-EAE-11099 and the quantity, to receive a quotation.
Does Lab Exports manufacture the Ohm's law kit?
Yes. Lab Exports manufactures the Ohm's law kit at its works at 11/315, Lalita Park, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092, under house code SCL-EAE-11099.
