How it is used
The electric water bath does the same job as a burner-heated bath but with a built-in 1 kW element, so no open flame is needed on the bench. Vessels sit on the concentric rings over the water; as the water heats towards boiling, the rising steam and hot water warm the vessel base evenly and keep the contents at no more than about 100°C.
The constant level device lets water feed in as it evaporates, which matters during long evaporations when a bath could otherwise boil dry. The automatic cut-out switches the heater off as a safeguard, and the aluminium body, only 200 mm across, takes up little bench space.
- Connect the constant level device to a water supply and drain, or fill the bath by hand.
- Choose rings to suit the vessel and set it over the opening.

- Switch off and allow the bath to cool before emptying or moving it.
