How it is used
The examination couch is the centre of any consulting room. The patient lies flat for an abdominal examination, sits up against the raised backrest for a chest and heart examination, or sits on the edge while reflexes and blood pressure are checked. With the backrest lowered, both sections form one flat surface for ECG recording, dressings and minor treatment.
At 79-81 cm high and 55-56 cm wide, the table gives the examiner easy access from either side. The ratchet backrest locks at each step so that it cannot drop suddenly, and the washable cover over high-density foam can be wiped with disinfectant between patients.
