Uses
When tablets are dispensed, each patient's medicine needs to be kept separate, protected from moisture and dirt, and clearly labelled. The tablet sachet does this simply: the pharmacist counts the tablets into the transparent bag, presses the interlock strip closed and writes the patient's name, the medicine and the dosage instructions on the white stripes with a marker pen.
Because the bag is transparent, staff and patients can see the tablets without opening it, and the interlock closure can be reopened and resealed as doses are taken. The 10 x 16 cm size suits outpatient dispensing, ward stock and field clinics.
