Samples are placed in sealed-end capillary tubes located in the heating block, and up to three tubes can be tested at one time. The sample and melt process is viewed through an illuminated, detachable magnifying lens, while melt temperatures are read from a thermometer positioned horizontally for simultaneous viewing. Operating instructions are printed directly on the unit. It runs on 220/240V.
