How the model is used in teaching
A bisexual (dual-sex) torso lets one model serve lessons on both male and female reproductive anatomy, alongside the organs of the chest and abdomen. With 24 parts, organs can be taken out one after another so students see how they are layered from front to back.
The open back adds a second teaching view. Once the neck and back are opened, the complete vertebral column is visible with the spinal cord and the nerves leaving it, which links organ anatomy with the nervous system and the skeleton.
- Start with the external view and name the body regions.
- Remove the head, heart, stomach and intestines in turn, naming each from the key card.
- Show the male and female sex organs and compare the two.
- Open the neck and back to reveal the vertebral column, spinal cord and nerves.
